Five Fall Favorites

As the weather slowly but surely begins to change in Houston, it finally starts to feel like Fall! While some people may not be ready to give up on the long Summer days and sundresses, I look upon it as a time for new opportunities. There is something about Fall that is incomparable to other seasons. In this entry, I wanted to list my Five Fall Favorites with you.

1. Food! — With all festivities comes great food! My personal favorite is my mom’s carrot casserole and sweet potato casserole topped with brown sugar and crushed pecans. When it comes to desserts, I found a bite-sized pecan pie recipe a few years ago that takes some of the guilt out of all the pie goodness that comes around this time! I have included a link below in case you want to give the recipe a try. Click here for Mini Pecan Pie Recipe

2. Friends and Family — While the food is a given for many people during Thanksgiving, enjoying it with friends and family really tops off the season. A time to give thanks to the people in your life whether they are direct family or friends that have turned family.

3. Fashion — Time to pull out the sweaters and boots!! Fall fashion is a vibe with autumnal colors. Whether it’s the newest style of vegan leather, wool,  layering, or starting a new trend, I love what fashion bloggers and stores bring out for the Fall season.

4. Foliage — As the leaves begin to change to vibrant, yellows, reds, and oranges, it sets the stage for the season. The beauty of nature is truly awe-inspiring.

5. Football — The camaraderie of football season instills that sense of gathering you get throughout the Fall season. Whether it’s cheering for a team you have grown up with or one that you start following later, it’s all about making memories and hopefully coming away with a WIN!

I would love to hear about what your Fall favorites are below!

Until Next Time, Sarah Livesay
