A home is always evolving. Even after years of living in the same space, a fresh coat of paint, updated furnishings or a redesigned room can make it feel entirely new again.
I’ve been reminded of that recently as I’ve been painting and redecorating parts of my own home. What started as a few small updates quickly turned into visits to some of Houston’s best furniture stores and designer showrooms. Along the way, I’ve found beautiful pieces, gathered plenty of inspiration and discovered a few new favorites.
Whether you’ve just purchased a home, are planning a renovation or simply want to refresh a favorite room, here are 10 Houston furniture stores and showrooms I’d happily recommend.
1. AREA
If there’s one showroom I’ve found myself returning to throughout this process, it’s AREA.
Every visit has sparked a new idea. From thoughtfully curated furniture to beautiful lighting and accessories, everything feels intentional without feeling overdone. It’s become one of my favorite places to browse when I’m looking for inspiration or searching for that one finishing touch that brings a room together.
2. RH
RH has long been one of my favorite destinations for timeless furniture and classic design. Their collections feel elegant without chasing trends, making it easy to find pieces you’ll enjoy for years to come.
Whether you’re furnishing a dining room, living room or outdoor space, RH is always worth a visit.
3. Arhaus
If you gravitate toward warm, inviting interiors, Arhaus is a wonderful place to explore.
Their handcrafted furniture, natural materials and organic textures create spaces that feel comfortable, collected and sophisticated all at once.
4. Houston Design Center
If you’re tackling a larger project, don’t miss the Houston Design Center.
With more than 40 luxury showrooms under one roof, it’s one of the easiest places to compare furniture, lighting, fabrics, rugs, cabinetry and home accessories. Even if you’re still discovering your style, it’s an incredible source of inspiration.
5. Poliform
Poliform is one of my favorite destinations for beautifully crafted Italian design.
Beyond furniture, they also specialize in custom kitchens, closets and storage systems, making it an excellent resource for anyone building or renovating a home.
6. Cantoni
For contemporary interiors, Cantoni is always inspiring.
Its sleek European furnishings pair beautifully with modern architecture, proving that clean lines and comfortable living can go hand in hand.
7. FOUND
FOUND is one of those places where every visit uncovers something unexpected.
From antiques and vintage furnishings to artwork and custom upholstery, it’s perfect for homeowners who want their spaces to feel personal and layered rather than perfectly matched.
8. Paloma & Co.
Paloma & Co. is full of elegant European-inspired furnishings and accessories that add warmth and character to any room.
It’s one of my favorite places to find those smaller pieces that make a home feel finished.
9. Meredith O’Donnell
For timeless interiors with classic appeal, Meredith O’Donnell has long been a Houston favorite.
Their beautifully curated showroom offers furnishings that feel refined, comfortable and designed to stand the test of time.
10. Roche Bobois
Sometimes all a room needs is one unforgettable piece.
Roche Bobois is known for bold contemporary furnishings that make a statement while still feeling beautifully designed. It’s a wonderful place to visit if you’re looking to add personality to your home.

- Ornare
- Gala Design Studio
- Design House
- Noel Furniture
- Danish Inspirations

If you’re shopping from home, Perigold is also one of my favorite online resources for luxury furnishings and décor.
One of the unexpected joys of redecorating my own home has been rediscovering Houston’s incredible design community. Every showroom has its own personality, and every visit has given me a new appreciation for the creativity, craftsmanship and talent we have right here in our city.
Whether you’re furnishing a newly purchased home, refreshing a longtime favorite or simply collecting ideas for the future, I hope this list gives you a great place to start.
And if you’re still searching for the perfect home to decorate, I’d love to help. Beyond buying and selling luxury real estate, one of my favorite parts of my job is sharing the local businesses and resources that help my clients truly enjoy living in Houston.
Until next time,
